Saturday is the day o fthe competition. So we cross the judges and people invited to discover such cars. It's impotant to be here early to avail the sunrise and mainly the free place. Morning is for exposition, afternoon for the parade behind the public and the jury who gives some trophies to winners.
In time order, this is the first car seen: 365 GTB/4 Prototypo:
Ferrari 250 Europa Vignale has a better place than the day before.
The Ferrari 212 Inter Pinin Farina comes with its soft roof.
250 GT Zagato take place at side of the Vignale, which is good to compare two models so differents but with the same base.
To continue, the 400 Superamerica
An other 250 GT appears in the F Class. Even if the one-off are very important in Ferrari's heritage and of course Italians builders history, a simply Short Wheel Base stay one of the most beautiful 250 for me. This is owned by Jean-Pierre Slavic.
Pinin Farina made a more softly work on this 250 than Vignale. A really nice two tones for an elegant result.
No, this is not a tourist lost in the Villa, this is a 212 Inter Pininfarina, just at side of the coupé.
Finally exposed to the day light, I find the 250 GT Spider California. My favorite.
An other model seen in the garage yesterday: The 250 LM. There was so much people around that I decided to come back later to take good pics.
What could I say when Charles Nearburg show the 250 GTO?... It's a riot!
More classical, the 250 GT Lusso is really discret in this place.
The body are so nice that I can play with:
Oh! The most famous judge this year: Nick Mason, known for his garage and his music (Pink Floyd)
You can see here the cool ambiant. It wasn't full at this moment. An orchestra play music even if you just heard them. And discover for what owners are here: the trophies
Afternoon is all the cars scroll dehind the jury. A great moment for photographs waiting the cars in front of the lake. Unfortunately, some people didn't understood that and appears on our pictures.
It is less a problem when Jean-Pierre Slavic go over fastly to his SWB, and forget to kiss his wife...
The 250 GTO, followed by the 250 LM stay here for a moment which allow me to move to take pictures from different points of view.
It's time to go back to the hotel to rest up after such a day...
